Few quibbles:
Paragon uses Focused Anger which more than doubles adren gain and therefore FA Paragon>>Stunning Strike War in terms of Adren gain in real PvE.
This means faster recharge for GftE and possibly higher DPS.
Faster SY recharge = more defense = more time heroes focus on offense rather than defense = more DPS.
This does not also includ TnTF being much better for a Paragon than War.

This discussion is starting the get sidetracked.
The OP did not request a comparison between W/P and P/W, he asked about SpearWarrs. If you want to accomodate the discussion, fine, if you want to talk only about how a P/W is better than a W/P, keep it to yourself.
Get it back on track or it's getting closed.

Ok, if your gonna waste your elite on FA on a damage spear build that retarded. You cant compare two builds with 2 different elites. One could argue that yes, the FA puts out more damage, but the Stunning would get more kills due to disabling casters.
GftE is only good on a paragon for e-management. Its effect isnt that great. 1 Extra crit every 7-8 seconds is pretty pointless, especially considering a) the effect disappears if you didnt crit, and b) if you were going to crit anywayz, the effect is also pointless.
Finally, it doesnt matter how fast SY recharges, so long as it recharges before it ends. If you recharge it in 2 seconds, and its lasting for 6 it has no benefit to if it recharges in 6 seconds and lasts for 6.

Lol, Luminarus didn't read the mod post.
Anyways, any other cool Warrior builds with Spear? I figure the Strength or Tactics line has some good things to offer.
And I am curious as to whether Mighty Throw can ever find a use. Hmmm

As far as PvE goes, [Charge] and maybe [Rage of the Ntouka] is all that comes to mind. [Charge] is a favorite of mine for low-end PvE since you spend more time running around than blowing up monsters in 5 seconds.
Mighty throw you could spam with FGJ/flail, but it's like a terrible d-slash at best.
Have people looked into [Air of Superiority] to recharge FGJ? Or you could throw enduring harmony on yourself to make it last longer.

Survivor Warrior build

No barbed spear because conditions fly around like crazy with most hero builds. Cruel spear is optional, switch it when one will work better then others. Don't worry about moving targets, I've rarely had a problem with it, esspecially since you should be targeting squishies
[Skewer;ARCAxXJT+gpgNDyg9WeVA]
"DT!" is fun :P
those are some fun examples.

Mighty Throw is not that bad if you are under constant IAS, it speeds up the activation time too. It's good damage but I have a hard time fitting it on the bar. Stunning Strike, Merciless Spear, Spear of Fury are must-haves for me, though I suppose you could bring Mighty Throw instead of Barbed Spear if you can depend on some other characters causing conditions for you. If you bring Cruel Spear you lose the dazing ability but you free up a slot for something else.
Also let's not forget winners like Spear of Lightning (anti-armor) and Holy Spear (anti-minions/anti-spirit). I'd prefer one of those over Mighty Throw. Or better yet, Asuran Scan or I Am The Strongest.

I have to say, I don't understand the point. What do wars do better than any other profession? KNOCK DOWN (and, to a lesser extent, tanking). I'm wondering why on earth it's better to use another profession's weapon if you're not also taking advantage of your own profession's strengths. In other words, what are you doing as a spearwar that a paragon can't do better? Because, remember, by forgoing a sword or hammer, you're giving up huge KD capabilities for the spear.

Paul Dawg, while Warriors do KD better than any other profession due to the Stonefist Insignia and wide array of KD skills, sometimes players just want to mess around, goof off, or do something different.
SpearWarrs are just another way for a Warrior to use another weapon, and it's fun.
Besides, if all else fails, drop [Brawling Headbutt] on your bar and KD someone for giggles. I do. Headbutting ppl makes me warm and fuzzy inside. :P

Yes it is. What motivates people to bring slower-than-normal attack skills is simply beyond me. Screws with your adrenaline, lessens the boons from skills like [barbs][mark of pain][ebon battle standard of honor] etc etc.
Failskill, no questions asked, for any profession

Sure, but then you're forgoing the main advantage of a spear: ranged attacks. So like why use a spear at all?
For fun, OK.

With Knight's insignia and defy, you can solo the whole base and lord while in frenzy!
Other than that, don't use defy

Because you can get adren faster with a spear so you can keep defy pain up easier; some ppl just like being tanks and not useful to their team.

W/P is fun!
[[email protected]][Enraging [email protected]][Barbed [email protected]][Blazing [email protected]][Spear of [email protected]][Defy [email protected]][Lion's [email protected]][Resurrection Signet]
A build like that's pretty fun to use in RA, especially since you can easily tank & kill 3 melee's, if they're the only ones left on the other team.
W/P's are pretty effective aswell. No matter what everyone says, Flail on a Spear-user is utter pwnage. And ofcourse, don't forget the armor penetration %-bonus from a high Strength attribute. It's what makes running Barbed fun, because it hits for around 50 damage without an inherent damage bonus. That's why SpearWarrs can run Defy Pain just as fine, because they already do enough damage.

How is this?
[flail][ebon battle standard of honor][Low Blow][cruel spear][Spear of fury]["Save Yourselves!"][Lion's Comfort]["for great justice!"]
Ebon vanguard battle standard of honor because a spear gives you the ability of not having to move and it causes more additional damage over time for less energy then many other skills
I was looking at adrenaline skills that could be used from ranged to use with a Spear and [low blow] was one of them. Though I woudnt normally use it with a sword. it seems somewhat more attractive with a spear as it does up to 70 Armor Ignoring damage.
Cruel Spear over Stunning Strike for the lower energy cost and long condition to power [spear of fury]
[ EDIT ]
Hmmmm, just realised that I have 4 PvE skills in there. Dont know which to take out and replace with.

Aw geez how much do spears run for? umm gold spears preferably.
nice build by the way Khomet Si Netjer. Thanks for the post. Anyway i believe that Wars are more flexible when it comes to pvp and pve. While rumor has it that Para's are only good for Pve. so i guess it just depends on if you want to only play PvE. Personally i'd go Wars
